Intra oral camera
With the aid of a small camera that can go in your mouth we are able to give you a guided tour! It is a very useful tool for showing patients what the dentist is looking at and by finding a way of diagnosis and treatment planning.
Digital intra oral cameras enable you to see parts of your mouth that would ordinarily only been visable to your dentist/hygienist, allowing you to visulise what you could previously only imagine...
Digital photography enables us to:
- Explain why treatment is necessary
- Analyse smile problems and discuss solutions
- Send images to dental laboratories and collegues
- Demonstrate the results of treatment
- Record problems and monitor progress
The intraoral camera handpiece is approximately the size and shape of a dental mirror. It has a built-in light source, and serves as a tiny video camera that allows us to zoom in on one tooth with 25 times magnification, or give you a "video tour" of your entire mouth. The images are displayed on a television or computer monitor, so you'll be able to see problems such as worn or broken fillings, cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings and excessive wear.
The intraoral camera allows you to be an active partner in your dental treatment by enabling you to see what we see inside your mouth. With a clear understanding of your dental conditions, you'll be able to make treatment decisions with confidence, after all they are your teeth!
The Wand
The Wand® is the latest advancement in pain-reducing dentistry. It is a computer-controlled device used to administer anesthetic - for virtually pain free injections!
It does not look or work like a "traditional" dental syringe or needle. The device looks like a ball point pen! Ideal for patients who are uncomfortable or phobic with this procedure.
Before administering injections with the Wand®, your dentist or dental therapist will rub a topical anesthetic on the injection site. The Wand® delivers anesthetic at a consistent pressure and volume, and adjusts to changes in tissue. Additionally, the anesthetic is delivered first, insuring that the injection from the tiny needle will be painless.

- Painless
- Doesn't look like a needle
- Numbing process is faster
- Wears off quicker (less rubber lip/face sensation)
- IDEAL FOR ANXIOUS PATIENTS AND CHILDREN
